Krimmler Achental
High valley of the Venediger mountain range
Due to its gentle gradients and its length, the Krimmler Achental is particularly suitable for exploring by mountain bike. From Krimml, a section leads along the Gerlos-Alpenstraße to the “Krimmler Tauernweg” turn-off (note: unlit tunnel).
At the entrance to the Krimmler Achental you can expect an impressive mountain panorama and alpine pastures and lush pastures that end below the Krimmler Kees. The distance to the end of the valley under the mighty Dreiherrenspitze is approx. 20 km. The Krimmler Tauernhaus is located approx. 6 km before the end of the valley.
