Krimml´s natural wonders

- Surrounded by nature -

The beauty of the village.
In Krimml Wasserfalldorf you can see what a wonder the world really is:

Crowned by glaciers, beautiful alpine lakes, forests and valleys filled with wildflower in the spring and the highest waterfalls of Europe - the Krimml Waterfalls in the Hohe Tauern National Park.

Europe´s highest waterfalls

The thunderous roar of the Krimmler Ache, the white spray, the bubbling water masses, and the finely dispersed water droplets are mesmerizing.

It is no coincidence that the Krimml Waterfalls first received the Council of Europe's International Nature Conservation Diploma in 1967.

Krimml Waterfalls

Longest valley in the Venediger Group

The high valley above the Krimml Waterfalls captivates with its rolling alpine pastures, glaciers, and a historically significant Tauern Pass to the south.

Since ancient times, a mule track has connected the inhabitants of the Salzach Valley in the north with the Ahrntal valley in South Tyrol. Following its trail reveals the full beauty of the highest side valley in the Venediger Group.

Krimml Achental

Alpine high valley in the Zillertal Alps

Glittering lakes, a roaring gorge, lovely alpine pastures, rugged cliffs, and jagged peaks capped with snow.

The romantic Wildgerlos Valley is a hiking paradise and a natural gem on the border of the Austrian states of Salzburg and Tyrol.
